The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is currently recruiting to fill the limited-term position of
Online Instructor for the Teacher Effectiveness and Preparation (TEP) Unit. The Online Instructor provides online instruction in statewide teacher credentialing and professional growth programs.
This limited-term position may be asked to:
- Teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and course contract
- Develop and revise course objectives, activities, tasks, and materials based on curriculum
requirements provided by the TEP leadership team - Deliver course content using a variety of instructional strategies that are inclusive and model the California Standards for the Teaching Profession
- Facilitate candidate participation and student discussions to support them in active engagement by providing valuable and relevant feedback and coaching as outlined in the instructor agreement
- Collaborate with program instructors to ensure consistency and continuity in candidate support and expectations
- Work in cooperation with staff, administration, and other agency personnel to establish an
effective academic program. - Be available for candidate consultation through office hours or scheduled appointments by phone, email, or virtual meetings.
- Attend scheduled instructor meetings, professional development, and other assigned meetings as required.
This position requires experience working with or teaching students and/or adults in person, online or in a hybrid. In addition, assignments may require experience, a California teaching credential, and/or training specific to the assigned instructional setting.
