Job Description
Description •Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and safety of all buildings. •Perform diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality. Detect malfunctions through observation (sound, visual or computer diagnostic). Make required repairs in a timely fashion. •Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.•Oil and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.•Order necessary parts to perform scheduled and nonschedule maintenance. •Build and maintain mechanical systems, to include the use of of a variety of hand and power tools. •Use of aerial/scissor lift to access areas at height for inspection and repair. •Use of forklift to move machinery and equipment for inspection and repair. •Read, interpret and follow instructions to include operation and other manuals.•Perform monthly inspection of fire extinguishers. •Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned to include plumbing, electrical work and painting.•Schedule,oversee and assist assigned contractors, ensuring the safety, quality, and cleanliness of work performed. Escorts contractors in critical areas when required.•Perform electrical assignments, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and cord caps, wiring single and three-phase motors, and installation of circuits (110V, 220V, 480V, and DC voltage), with required understanding of electric/equipment controllers.•Perform daily site inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation, completes all maintenance checklists.•Follow directions and work as a member of a team. Escalate maintenance and safety issues through concise communication as required.•*Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Education:•High school diploma preferred. Completion of trade school or technical training preferred.Work Experience:•Minimum of three years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.Language / Communication Skills:•Must be able to read and write to complete required forms in English.•Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.•Spanish speaker a plus.Requirements of the Job: •Work assigned schedule which may vary and could include weekends and holidays.•Work overtime when required.•Arrive at work on-time.•Comply with company policies.•Commuting as needed from the Redwood City facility to the Livermore facility with associated mile and toll reimbursement. •Complete paperwork and related administrative duties.•Comfortable with Microsoft Office packge, to include Word/Excel and Outlook.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
