HR Generalist
Overview: This role involves supporting site HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR program improvements, while partnering with management to drive organizational health and employee engagement. This individual should be comfortable multi-tasking, working well under pressure and generating/tracking/updating HR related reports. The ideal candidate has 5 years of HR experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a data-driven approach to HR processes.
Principal Responsibilities: - Lead site HR activities, including high-volume recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
- Improve HR programs to boost employee morale and organizational health.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, and site programs, and assist with employee inquiries.
- Partner with the HR Manager to coach site management on leadership, performance management, and development strategies.
- Support manpower planning, restructuring, and ensure alignment with company values.
- Collaborate on special HR projects, data tracking, and site programs.
- Work with the Global EH&S team on workers’ compensation, OSHA logs, and EHS reports.
- Drive employee engagement through events, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Maintain HRIS records, pull monthly reports, and manage personnel files.
- Lead investigations into employee and ethics complaints.
- Contribute to the compensation program and performance review process.
- Develop and administer policies to support organizational goals.
- Analyze and report HR data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain daily operational standards and support team growth.
Education/Experience Requirements: - 5 years in HR or related field with knowledge of employment regulations (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, Affirmative Action).
- BS Degree in HR, Business, or Psychology preferred
- HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
Required Skills: - Strong leadership in HR activities and employee relations.
- Data-driven analytical approach to HR processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Proven project management and change leadership skills.
- Relationship-building across functions and geography.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts.
