The Dental Assistant (Entry Level) is responsible for the sterilization of instruments and maintaining OSHA quality standards, as well as assisting the Dentist with procedures. This individual performs basic supportive dental procedures specified by rule of the Georgia Board of Dentistry under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist.

• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of Hygiene Assisting experience is preferred.

•Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Must be a graduate of a Dental Assisting Program approved by the State Board.

• CPR Certification is required

• Prepares and takes X-rays of clients

• Assists with dental procedures and charting

• Sterilizes equipment and follows proper hygienic protocol

• Manages the inventory of dental equipment and supplies

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
