As a Construction Manager for mobile home demolition and replacement projects, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from demolition of existing mobile homes to the completion of new construction. You will work closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing the entire construction process, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities related to the demolition and replacement of mobile homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans, including determining the scope of work, creating a construction timeline, and establishing project budgets.
  • Contractor Management: Select and manage contractors and subcontractors, including soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and overseeing their work to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and adjusting as needed to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Construction Supervision: Supervise all construction activities, including demolition of existing mobile homes, site preparation, foundation installation, and installation of new mobile homes, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality control procedures to ensure that workmanship, materials, and construction processes meet or exceed established standards.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain construction schedules, including coordinating and sequencing construction activities to ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Communication: Provide regular construction related project updates to clients, stakeholders, and team members, and effectively communicate any changes or issues that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction, including unexpected delays, design changes, and material shortages.
  • Safety Management: Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and best practices and take appropriate action to address any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, QC inspections, contracts, change orders, and other project-related records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, preferably with experience in mobile home demolition and replacement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and permitting processes related to construction projects.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and other relevant software tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
