Job Description

Full time social work position to provide a range of clinical social work services to children, adolescents and families in the Autism Spectrum Center in Brookline, MA. We provide comprehensive, family-centered diagnostic and care services for children with autism spectrum disorder, together with strong family support. Depending on your child’s needs, we can coordinate visits with autism specialists such as developmental behavioral pediatricians, child neurologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, geneticists and gastroenterologists, as well as social workers, physical, occupational, and speech and language therapists.

This Autism Spectrum Center Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical social work services to assist patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.
• Performing psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses, developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
• Participating in planning and implementation of discharge and outpatient service plans and collaborating with health care team and community agencies to plan, implement and follow up on treatment and provision of needed services.

To qualify, you must have:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, and LCSW or LICSW is required.
• Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment as well as excellent communication and consultation skills.
• Previous medical social work experience preferred
• Bilingual/bicultural/diverse candidates are encouraged to apply
