Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) refers to a range of accounting and financial services provided by Bowers CPAs & Advisors. These services include outsourced CFO, Controller and accounting services including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning; financial statement preparation; full-service bookkeeping; vendor bill processing and payment; customer invoicing; payroll processing and tax reporting; sales tax preparation. Due to the group’s continued growth, we are recruiting for CAAS Accounting Manager/Controller position. Job Summary: Watertown, NY

In the role, you will be a member of CAAS group accountable for providing Accounting Manager/Controller level accounting services including month-end review and closing of financial records, processing payables and receivables and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.

Requirements:

• Oversee and manage responsibilities for assigned CAAS transactional staff
• Oversee timely efficient processing and accurate payment of vendor invoices
• Perform monthly accounting reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts for assigned clients
• Perform accounting system clean-ups
• Prepare month-end close for assigned clients
• Assist with financial reporting
• Participate in marketing events

Qualifications:

• B.S degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting with 2 years supervisory experience
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communicator
• Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to manage priorities and workflow
• Commitment to excellence and high standards

Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000 DOE
