Great opportunity for an experienced 2D Designer in Aiken, SC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Degree.
• Formal training beyond High School in Computer Aided Design and Drafting, (CADD).
• 8+ years’ proven work experience as a Designer in the specified discipline.
• 8+ years’ proven work experience in 2D Microstation Computer Aided Design and Drafting, (CADD).
• Proven work experience and ability to walk down systems in the field.
JOB DUTIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Must have ability to do with no training):
• Provide 2D Designer support services to assigned Engineering Teams.
• Designer support services include engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas:
• Electrical
- Equipment layout;
- Grounding;
- Cable tray;
- Conduit;
- Lighting systems;
- Schematics and wiring diagrams;
- Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for electrical design including IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
• Plant Design
- Mechanical systems including piping, material handling, equipment and HVAC components;
- Equipment layout, piping layout and HVAC layout based on upper tier documents;
- Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for plant design including ASME B31.3, NFPA 101, ASME N509/510 and B16.
